Linguist, uTalk Over 20 years of studying phonology, morphology and syntax of indigenous languages in North America and Australia. Also, had a brief stint as a food technologist - but that was another lifetime ago. Currently works as a linguist for uTalk and a linguistics consultant with Miromaa.
About this speaker
Brian is the linguist at uTalk and has dabbled in learning about 40 languages. He is very passionate about endangered languages and is also currently involved in language revival and activism with groups in Australia. He is currently learning Russian and Cebuano using the uTalk app (yes, he knows – that’s a very strange combination indeed!) and is always finding ways to teach others how to remember complex Chinese characters.
